Cookie policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026This policy explains how tvfollow.com uses cookies and similar technologies. tvfollow uses only the cookies the site needs to work and to remember your preferences; it uses no advertising or analytics cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser when you visit it. Session cookies are removed after a set time or when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
First-party cookies are set by the site you visit, third-party cookies by other companies. tvfollow sets first-party cookies only.
Cookies we use
Session cookie (strictly necessary): keeps you signed in; it expires after 120 minutes of inactivity.
Security cookie – XSRF-TOKEN (strictly necessary): protects forms against forged requests; it expires with the session.
“Remember me” cookie (strictly necessary, optional): set only if you tick “Remember me” when signing in, and keeps you signed in until you sign out.
Language (locale) and region (region) cookies (preference): remember the language and catalogue region you chose; they are long-lived persistent cookies and survive signing out.
These cookies are needed to provide the service and do not require your consent under applicable law.
Browser storage
Your light or dark theme and colour choice are kept in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This is never sent to the server and can be cleared in your browser settings.
Third-party content
Posters and images load from TMDB’s servers; tvfollow sets no cookies on TMDB’s behalf in doing so.
Trailers load through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play. While a trailer plays, YouTube may store data on your device under its own privacy policy.
Advertising and analytics
tvfollow uses no advertising, analytics, social media or third-party tracking cookies, pixels or session-replay tools. If such a tool is ever added, this policy will be updated and your consent asked for in advance where required.
Managing cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings; most browsers accept cookies by default. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, some features such as signing in may stop working and you may need to sign in on every visit.
For details of how your personal data is processed, see our Privacy policy.
Changes and questions
If the cookies we use change, this policy will be updated; the current version is always on this page. For questions, write to [email protected].
